Suggested Age: This event is open to chess players of all ages, emphasizing scholastic play. As this is a USCF-rated tournament, your younger chess players should know that chess notation is required.

The Rose City Chess April Challengers Tournament is a beginner-friendly chess tournament for players of all ages, with special emphasis on making sure scholastic players have fun. Players are divided into sections based on strength. Each person plays four rounds, regardless of whether they win, lose, or draw their games.
