Description

Rose City Chess Master’s Camp is a five-day, high-performance training experience for players rated USCF 1200+. Designed for serious competitors, this camp delivers structured, intensive instruction aimed at accelerating your path toward expert and master-level play.

Students train in small groups with three dedicated coaches, including at least one National Master–level player or stronger each day. Instruction is tailored to ambitious players ready to break through rating plateaus.

What to expect:

  • 3+ daily lessons (45 minutes each) focused on advanced middlegame strategy, calculation, practical decision-making, and more topics

  • USCF-rated games with slow time controls (minimum G/40+5)

  • Deep game analysis with top Oregon players and coaches

  • Support from a strong OCP Fellowship Coach

  • Individual written feedback for each student at the end of camp

Campers are grouped by playing strength to ensure targeted instruction. Each student receives curated puzzles and training materials aligned with their level.

If you’ve been stuck at your current rating, this camp is designed to push you forward.

Ages: No age restrictions. Instead, we require a USCF rating of 1200 or higher.
